Course Description:

In the course, you will learn about the origins of Yoga and the benefits to the body and mind to those who practise Yoga in their daily lives. This will be of benefit to the participant in order to improve good mental and physical health. You will also have the opportunity to explore the benefits of yoga practice for your pupils or students and can go on to develop suitable yoga programmes for them.

Mindfulness practice is the other part of this course. You will gain information about the theories behind the practice of Mindfulness. You will learn techniques that you will practise throughout the week with your teacher and fellow participants. You will see how both practices – both yoga and mindfulness can bring great benefits to the body and the mind.
The Enneagram will be introduced and explored and this will be very interesting to participants as they begin to understand the different personality types that exist: there will be an identification and acceptance of one’s own personality type and there is a lot to be gained from an identification and acceptance of the personality types of your loved ones and work
colleagues!

Yoga and Mindfulness practice combined

Wednesday
Yoga and Mindfulness activities
Visit to local cultural centre
Orienteering activity in the local town

Thursday
Introduction to the Enneagram
Irish traditional dance workshop
Irish traditional Music session in a local pub (evening)
(You are welcome to join in – bring your musical instrument!)

Friday
The Enneagram studies and exploration
Yoga and Mindfulness activities
Farewell meal

Saturday
Final round up of the course programme
Presentation of certificates
Optional trip
